Assuming it's a standard machine that has specifications on e.g. it's toolhead's clearance and the general principles of it's guidance/alignment system, etc.?

yeah it's like 0.8 mil or such, a lil thinner than what's more-standard, but something about these chips dictated the pick. mithro had posted a pic of it a few months ago.

It was. You do fingers differently between Au and Al, and the bonding looks like it followed the Au rules. Though the Au rules might be more constraining so they could also have gone with the worst case.
I'm pondering purchasing one of these machines that we can then replace the automation system with something that captures images of the bonds as they are created.
